We are traveling around Kiev looking for internet access. Several coffee shops (and VERY STRONG coffees) later, here we are!
The plane trip was great. No problems. Yvenna (our Ukrainian coordinator) was waiting for us at the airport. He is a fast talker and filled us in on everything while we drove to our apartment. We are staying in a humble efficiency apartment. That’s ok, it’s cheap, clean, efficient, and safe – all part of the adventure. Rick and I have been walking through the city and it’s a beautiful place. The people are beautiful and we know why no one is overweight -- the portions are minimal and we are constantly walking up and down hills.
Yvenna is very well liked at the SDA and so he was able to get us the first appointment of the day on Wednesday. This is great because there are only certain children available for adoption each day. We will get first choice of all of them!
