Ukraine Adoption

We want to share our hearts with you for just a moment. This adoption process has the potential of changing more lives than we can imagine. The seven people in our family will be forever impacted by this journey. What we also hope is that some of you who are following are also impacted. Years ago, we never thought that we would be at this place in our life. This has been spiritually rewarding beyond our imagination. We started this blog to stay in touch with our family and friends and to share our experience with you, but we also pray that someone may hear our story and be moved to offer one or more of these beautiful Ukrainian children a loving home. Here’s what it takes: a loving family who has room to love one more. We have met and heard of Americans who have overcome significant obstacles to make adoption a reality, don’t think you can’t do it if your heart is touched by this.

We spend many hours with these children. They are looking for a mom and dad. One boy went away for 2 weeks of summer camp and returned to the orphanage asking if a mom or dad had come for him yet. The younger children call us mamma and papa and beg for our attention. The older children run to our car to speak with us and play soccer. Visit BBAS.org and get started and let God work out the details.

Rick and Missy, I was so deeply touched by your comments and the tears started. There are so many children, and they are truly the innocent ones, that are suffering and lonely because they do not have the wonderful loving presence of a great home. After 32 years in the corporate world, the Lord chose for my life to go in a different direction 11 years ago, and it has been nothing but a wonderful blessing taking care of three beautiful children. And now it will be going in a kind of diffrent direction again. I am so looking forward to seeing and talking with these beautiful children, and I thank you both that you saw fit to trust me to take of Gods three little beings. I pray for you guys every single day and I know without a doubt God is going to abundantly bless you and your family and help it to grow in love, peace and understanding. Hang in there and Gods blessings and protections stay with you all. love Pat

Rick and Missy,
Adoption does change the lives of more than just your immediate family. Having adopted an American child with all the challenges and changes it made in our little family, I can only imagine how your lives will be forever changed. My prayers and admiration are with you. You are in the "Honeymoon" phase of this now, and enjoy it. May the Lord give you the strength, the wisdom, the love, and understanding you will need in the abundance that only He can give. Keep strong in your marriage and your faith. I'm gonna love watching your family bond together.
Your cousin Patti
